Welcome to the
Sheldwich Cricket Club website
Sheldwich sponsored by : (Could be you)
The
club is thought to have been established over 100
years ago, with cricket being played at the
current location since 1922. Our ground is
situated in the small village of Sheldwich, which
lies just off the main road that
links Faversham and Ashford in Kent. It
is a pleasure to both play and view cricket in
such a picturesque and quiet venue. The village
itself has always contributed a large number of
players and many have progressed from the Colts
team through to the Senior Teams over the years.
Sheldwich
Cricket Club have two sides that play in the
Invicta Premier League in the KENT area on a
Saturday and a Sunday Team that play in the Kent Village League
Div 4 and friendly
matches against a wide variety of local teams.

Sheldwich 1st XI continue theirr Invicta League campaign with an away match against Headcorn on Saturday at 1.30pm while the 2nd XI are at the Lees against Headcorn 2nd XI.
Last Week , Sheldwich lost to Cobham at Cobham by 7 wickets with only James Creed 39 and Phil Stanford 29 offering much in Sheldwich's score of 177-9 in their 45 overs. Cobham reached their target in only 25.3 overs with only 3 wickets down. This was a disappointing result after such a good win v Linton Park last week.
Sheldwich 2nd XI despite a superb knock of 119 from Dave Williams were beaten by 61 runs by Staplehurst at the Lees. Staplehurst made 267-5 in their 45 overs with Williams (2-69) and Alex Roe (2-14) the successful bowlers. No-one could support Williams as he alone kept Sheldwich in the game.
SHELDWICH are looking to build on a successful 2010 by recruiting NEW PLAYERS for 2011. Come up to the ground on Tuesday evenings 6-8.00pm for nets or match days and make yourself known.
