Welcome to the
Sheldwich Cricket Club website
Sheldwich sponsored by
Abacus Sports Faversham
The
club is thought to have been established over 100
years ago, with cricket being played at the
current location since 1922. Our ground is
situated in the small village of Sheldwich, which
lies just off the main road that
links Faversham and Ashford in Kent. It
is a pleasure to both play and view cricket in
such a picturesque and quiet venue. The village
itself has always contributed a large number of
players and many have progressed from the Colts
team through to the Senior Teams over the years.
Sheldwich
Cricket Club have two sides that play in the
Invicta Premier League in the KENT area on a
Saturday and a Sunday Team that play in the Kent Village League
Div 4 and friendly
matches against a wide variety of local teams.

Sheldwich 1st XI recorded their 2nd win in a row at home to Linton Park on Saturday and climbed to 4th in the Invicta Premier League. Skipper Ray lost yet another toss and Sheldwich had to toil on a hot afternoon and a good wicket. After a couple of early wickets Sheldwich were put to sword by Gibson who scored a hard hit century. With a few late wickets, the score was kept to a reasonable size as Linton finished on 240-6 from their 45 overs. Sheldwich set off in their chase at a very brisk rate with James Creed (130) outstanding. Well supported by Phil Stanford (70 not out) and Martin Mlls (21 not out) Sheldwich cruised to a 9 wicket win with 7 overs left.
